Owen Roe, Cabernet Franc Slide Mountain Vineyard 2009

Slide Mountain is a marvelous site surrounded by the Yakima Nation
Reservation in the far west end of the Yakima Valley. These Cabernet
Franc grapes are among the finest that ever we've seen. The depth of
concentration and fragrance, with trademark tobacco and green olive
flavors, make this a complete, well-balanced wine. These grapes are
picked from a tiny block, only 3/4 acres, which yielded perfectly
balanced fruit in mid October. The wine is aged in previously used
French Oak barrels in order to mature the wine gracefully without
overwhelming the flavors.
