The 2008 Merlot
(79%)-Cabernet Franc (21%), 95% of the fruit sourced from the
Conner Lee Vineyard. Deep purple in color, it delivers herbs,
terroir notes, leather, cassis, and plum. Elegant on the palate
with plenty of spice notes, this nicely balanced, lengthy wine will
evolve for 2-3 years and offer prime drinking from 2012 to
2023.
Caleb Foster, partner and winemaker of Buty Winery, is in a groove,
making consistently high quality wines vintage after
vintage.
