There is a wide band of sweet fruit but whether it is sufficient to cover the elevated acidity and gritty tannins in the finish remain to be seen. All of the 2005 Gypsy Dancer Pinot Noirs have balance issues. The wines all exhibit elevated acidity and in several cases gritty tannins in the finish. They all have a heavy layer of makeup including significant time in 100% new oak barrels with heavy toast.
